I'm talking about the crimson colored glasses people who are acting like losing top recruits means nothing. Again, I don't expect panic until it shows up on the field, but some people have their head in the sand about what's taking place.

I could see it being a bigger deal if UA did not finish near the top of recruiting every year. You make it sound like our class lost all its top recruits and are near the bottom.

Yes, AU may have a few recruits that Saban wanted but so does every major program in the country does as well and why Saban offers so many kids. He knows like any reasonable fan knows we will not get the majority we offer.

It has nothing to do with head being buried in the sand just reality that we will never get everyone we offered.

new era NIL and a 12 team playoff.

This is where so many fail to understand reality. a&m perfect example by throwing millions out in NIL deals at a program with unlimited resources along with a coach that has already won a NC yet could not develop them and win anything. Now that investment is leaving to go where they can win.

Getting top recruits even from your rival may ignite excitement within the fanbase but until Freeze starts to compete(actually win) titles does not mean much in the end. And with the portal AU could be in the same boat as a&m in the next 2 years with no ROI on their recruiting.

using that "logic", bama could be in the same boat with A&M and Auburn.
