This isn't 2012 when tv markets was the biggest factor. Now it's about what teams improve your overall tv package which is based on the value of the games being offered.



UNC and UVA fans don't watch football.

There arent any games in the last few years where they were a major draw.

Clemson, FSU and to a much, much larger degree ND are different stories.

And UCLA fans sure as hell don't watch football.

The national angle isn't as big as one might think.

A couple of years ago, week zero, the last weekend in August. The only two games in the country were Hawaii-UCLA and Alcorn St.-NC Central. In a state of 33,000,000 people, UCLA didn't even draw a million viewers and drew fewer viewers than the HBCU game.
