Lacrosse is blowing up in north Austin & Woodlands area. I’d have love to play if that was an option when I was a kid.

Because they train to dry hump men?

Gotta love the insecure fat soyboys that any mention of wrestling or MMA brings out. It’s funny because I’ve never heard a single person in real life ever make any comment of the sort. If they’re just dry humping each other then go to your local MMA gym and show those queers who’s boss

Contact Zach Ordonez in UT athletics about the schedule and how to help build the club. I support the Vols Rugby team and met him last year. It’s a club sport and is funded mostly by donations.

It’ll always be the Kiel Opera House to me. The long gone Kiel Auditorium was the second most recognizable wrestling venue in the country for decades. MSG obviously was and is number 1.

Missouri knows they can’t hang with the states of Oklahoma and Iowa in wrestling.

Dec. 1, 2023 #2 Mizzou 30 #18 ZeroU 12. So STFU lightweight.

I had two cousins wrestle for ZeroU. One was an All-American. Them and their parents regret going to ZeroU to this day.

Keegan O'Toole is a straight monster. Wrestled up a weight class on crazy short notice against the #5 ranked dude at that class and notched a relatively easy win.

In some ways, yes. We also love hockey and produce shitload of NHL players in St. Louis.

But the SEC is the only place that provides the kind of platform that could allow Mizzou to achieve greatness in football. Drinkwitz is showing what can be done in this state when you get everyone pulling in the same direction. And if he could effectively seal the borders, Missouri could be a serious player year in and year out.

Anyone who trash talks wrestling clearly has never wrestled and probably wouldn’t last 4 hours in wrestling practice.

Wrestling is the hardest sport I’ve ever competed in, hands down

Four hours? Most wouldn’t last 40 minutes. I wrestled from 7th to 11th grade and was also on the track and cross country teams (and college cross country). I’ve done some killer track workouts - 10 miles at 6:00 min pace or 12x400 @ 70 seconds with a minute rest, hill sprints, with event-specific lifting, etc. Really hard stuff. Wrestling was tougher. Strongest and best shape of my life while wrestling, by far. I would not start any shite with a college wrestler.

It’s interesting wrestling hasn’t taken off as much in the south. Especially with how popular UFC has become. Blame Title 9 I suppose.

If you want to do MMA/UFC stuff, especially takedowns and submissions, you're better off with Judo or Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

But honestly, UFC desperately needs an infusion of strikers because watching someone get hugged into submission gets effing boring past the first takedown move.

Should be a better match this year, we’ve been in rebuild for what feels like 10 years now. Glad to have y’all on the schedule again.

Played rugby in that area and we did very well at nationals. Wrestling is nothing in Texas like it is in OK & Mizzou, but I feel like soccer was more popular in Texas than wrestling. At least at our 6A in Houston.

I wish the SEC had wrestling. There’s some really good high school wrestling in Louisiana (nothing compared to you guys in the Midwest) but it could be even bigger if there was more college exposure

One of this year's beat freshman wrestlers is from Georgia but wrestling at Iowa, Gabe aArnold at 174. There is wrestling talent at the HS level in SEC territory.

People are gonna bag on wrestling here but I’ll be damned if I don’t respect the hell out of these athletes.

If you haven’t done it you don’t realize how difficult it is. I was already a 2 sport athlete but I tried out in 9th grade and wasn’t man enough to do it lol.
