We signed the #1 class of all time and they went 12-12. This has been bad for a while. Even with a large amount of attrition, we'll still meet the blue-chip ratio to win a title.
Look at some recent successes in their year 1 recruiting.
2020 FSU - 21st with a 89.039 Avg
2021 tu - 17th with a 90.615 Avg
2022 UO - 11th with a 90.394 Avg
2022 UW - 80th with a 82.375 Avg (only 10 commits)
2024 A&M - 15th with a 91.259 Avg for now
We're not in a terrible position and with the portal there is time to recover. We've probably added 2-3 starters already with additional depth.

To add insult to injury, their top 3 (per Rivals ranking) haven’t signed and are all in communication with Texas. Chances of Texas flipping any of them is better than 50%. Bussey and McKinley were both looking at LSU in addition to Texas but LSU has already inked a large class. Evans just told Steve Witfong that Texas is his dream school. TyAnthony Smith (not top 3 but a good player that Sark has wanted since the Summer)will likely flip to Texas. Maybe before the end of the day.
