Correct. The Tiger Rifles is how it started and evolved to be the name of all the LA troops In Lee’s Northern Virginia regiment.

Ancient history but there’s a whole lot of brave Louisiana boys buried in the dirt at Vicksburg defending Mississippi. Mass graves mostly along with many of Mississippians, Missouri, Texas, Arkansas. So sad for all those boys on both sides.
