re: The SECCG. Keep it or shelve it?

The point of the SECCG was to break ties. In 1989 we had 3 teams tie for the SEC title (Bama, Auburn, UT) and all three claimed the title (and still do). Each team only had one conference loss:

Bama beat UT
UT beat Auburn
Auburn beat Bama

There was no way to tie break that. Even with a one game play-off you still cant tie-break it fairly. So they came up with divisions.

I don't want to see the SEC championship lose all meaning because of the play-off. Winning the hardest conference should be worth something.
