Great question Chad. As many have noted money will drive a lot of decisions about the SECCG.
However,…..what if we go through some scenarios that could have an impact…..
Suppose LSU has a Heisman QB and Bama has a ferocious defense, and they both have one loss and are slated to play in the SECCG. They are both assured of making the 12 team playoff,so……
Does the LSU coach decide to sit his QB and other key starters for the SECCG to have them fully healthy for the playoffs….?

You could also have a scenario where an SEC championship team (or even both teams) hold back to save wrinkles for that second time matchup in the playoffs. But they would be playing for that first round bye, so they'd probably do what it takes to ensure a win in the SEC championship.
