Like I said in another thread, I could do with this series going away altogether. It's always meant a great deal more to auburn than UA.

I'm going to guess you're really young.

Auburn and Alabama played almost every year from 1893 to 1907 and then stopped. Demand for the series to restart grew to the point in 1947 the state legislature passed a resolution telling them to restart it and threatened to cut off funding to the schools if they didn't.

As long as football is still played at Alabama and Auburn, there will be an Iron Bowl.
