The system has been broken by the addition of four teams. Every solution on the table is broken in important ways.

LSU vs Ole Miss
LSU vs MSU
Alabama vs MSU
MSU vs Ole Miss
Tennessee vs Vanderbilt
Georgia vs Kentucky
Tennessee vs Kentucky

Anyway Arkansas would rather play Texas than LSU and A&M would rather LSU than Texas so that switch made sense. Plus makes better geographic sense with Arkansas the geographic center of the northern group (Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas) and LSU the center of the more southern (Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi).
