McFadden was overrated. Kept hearing about how McFadden and Jones were gonna roll all over Mizzou. Then watched Tony Temple run for 281 yards against Arkansas.

McFadden was the best college RB I ever saw in person. And I saw Gurley, Fournette, Guice, Faulk, and many many more. McFadden should have won it, but he never had a great team around him and the voters are hesitant to give it to the best player. (See the arguments on this year’s Heisman).

McFadden deserved at least one. It also depends on if there’s a clear cut favorite or not.

Not surprised a Mizzou fan in here talking about Arkansas. Temple had a nice one game against an Arkansas team without a head coach. And just to piss you off, Temple will never be regarded as one of the best RBs in SEC and NCAA history like McFadden is.

Hell, your boy Temple doesn’t even compare to any top ten best Arkansas RB. Get mad about it.

McFadden was surrounded by plenty of talent in 2006.

OL Nate Garner seventh round.

RB Felix Jones first round.

RB Peyton Hillis seventh round.

RB Micheal Smith was a 1,000 yard rusher in 2008.

DB Chris Houston first round.

DL Jaamal Anderson first round.

OL Tony Ugoh second round.

DL Marcus Harrison third round.

LB Sam Olajubutu was two time first team all SEC.

OL Jonathan Luigs fourth round and 2007 Remington trophy winner.

WR Damien Williams third round.

WR Marcus Monk seventh round.

DL Keith Jackson seventh round.

OL Zac Tubbs was first team all SEC.

OL Mitch Petrus fifth round.

OL Stephen Parker earned all American honors by sporting news.

DB Matt Hewitt was second team all SEC.

DB Michael Grant was second team all SEC.

DL Malcolm Sheppard was two time second all SEC. Led all DL in the SEC with 7.5 sacks.

LS Brett Goode spent 10 years in the NFL and got a super bowl ring.

P Jacob Skinner all American.

McFadden was surrounded by NFL talent and really good college players.

But what hurt him was the QB suckage of Robert Johnson, Casey Dick and Mitch Mustain.

We can call it the wildcat or whatever, but the fact DMac was playing the qb position says it all about how that team was lacking in that position. He didn’t just run the option and such, he threw touchdown passes. I remember how frustrated fulmer was because he couldn’t stop him and he knew that was the problem.

He was a great college talent.
