UT Austin academics > LSU academics. I didn't choose the university I attended because of the sports teams. UT has a better cs, engineering, and math program compared to LSU.
Austin was a good city when I first moved here and only 7 hours from my family.

I have a respect for lsu bama and uga and feel like those 3 schools are most similar to ole miss culturally

I've lived in Texas for 25 years, Austin has really gone to shite in that time. Too much liberal politics in the city and at UT.
