RG3 and Paul Hornung come to mind.
The Heisman is certainly imperfect in how it is awarded; it used to be only upper classmen, it still ignores defensive players and offensive linemen, and it is too QB heavy. It is pretty much the best QB on a good team except for rare seasons where a RB or WR stands out.
All that being said, Daniels deserves it as much as anyone else this year. Honestly, the RB from Missouri should have been a finalist. Bowers as well, if he didn’t get hurt.
