That defense was special.
That's a great defense, but it's hard to judge them against a shitty Florida backup and the Louisville pornstache QB who is one of the worst I've ever seen at the P5 level. That dude had money on Florida State or I don't know to explain what I saw. He sucked, and Louisville looked like it sucked. You know who else looked like they sucked? Florida State. That whole game was an abomination.

The money has already been collected. No more dollars for CFP regardless of viewership.

FSU beat LSU by 3 TDs on a neutral field. Alabama beat LSU by 2 TDs at home.

Hardest Game on FSUs schedule
4th Hardest on Bama’s

For the “every game should matter” crowd, wanting to ignore who each team beat is pretty inconsistent

FSU didn’t need a miracle to beat their in state rival. Or their starting QB.

You’re lucky to have one loss. Lucky to be in the playoff. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. Alabama’s more lucky than good this season. You just can’t admit it.

Liberty doesn't move the needle at ALL. they are never making the playoff. even with 12 teams they'll shoehorn in a a power 5 school with 2 losses over an undefeated liberty.
Thanks. Will have to keep this in mind.

They did in fact need 7-5 Miami’s starting QB to be injured to win at home

Washington isn't exactly a ratings darling and even their coach is low key. Outside of UW grads and a few townies who support the team they don't really have a national audience yet they were first in. Michigan gets a pass for large alumni base and being a traditional "blue blood" in spite of being so boring nobody really cared that much about their cheating. Texas and Bama speaks for itself and does validate your argument to some degree...and the ratings drop with TCU last year may have had something to do with that. FSU used to be a pretty big tv draw, but that was a decade ago now.

FSU would have been a ratings draw if jordan travis was actually playing and not hurt.

Nothing says TV ratings like Cincinnati and TCU going to the playoffs in back to back seasons.
