1. Refusing to join the SEC because they felt the ACC was an easier path (so a much weaker SOS)
2. Refusing to expand the playoffs to 12 for this season.

FSU has been on the other side.
Facts about FSU's 1993 National Championship:
- FSU lost head-to-head to Notre Dame on November 13th but ND, w/same record was excluded
- WVU was undefeated in regular season, but denied a chance to play for the title in favor of FSU who had a loss.
- Danny Kannel's ring is flawed.
