Wait. You think tax dollars are funding these football programs and the committee?
You think that pulling federal funded to a major public university wouldn't have any impact on that university's football program?

not a dime of federal funding is getting pulled over this you buffoon. But if it helps you sleep at night, you go girl.

Man, you really don't know how much any of this shite really works. Most flagship "public" universities don't get much of their operational budgets from the government anymore because it insulates us from lunatics like you who want to do funding cuts over shite like a football playoff.
Also, while some media outlets love to cherry pick the random weird arse grant for some clickbait, what do you think the vast majority of all that federal and state grant money gets used on? Just one example - pharmaceutical companies barely develop any new drugs. Universities do. Look all throughout the medical and tech sectors, and you'll see this story repeated over and over again.
Where I work, for every dollar of tax money we do get, we generate four dollars of economic impact back out of it, and we aren't even a bigger R1. But sure, let's frick with that apple cart because Alabama got to play a football game and FSU didn't.
I swear to Christ, every time someone says, "You'll never meet someone who hates government more than me," they are two seconds away for suggesting government be used for some ridiculous damn boondoggle to assuage some petty grievance over something that doesn't matter.

Aren’t you one of those poli-board regulars who screech against more government intrusion?

Dude you sound hysterical and clueless. You think Rick Scott will move all of Congress to pass legislation targeting Alabama's federal funding (which is entirely unrelated and siloed away from the athletics budget) over the CFP's decision. Spare us the backtracking and gaslighting, you're unmoored from reality or green AF
Biden's not overhauling DoE policies over something so frivolous either bud

How fricking stupid are you, anyway? Did you just start following the college football playoffs six weeks ago?
The CFP is owned by a private, non -government LLC called BCS Properties, Limited. They own everything related to the CFP...trademarks, logos, everything. They are not government employees. The board is made up of the conference commissioners...also not government employees.
It takes a special kind of stupid to think that universities are at risk of losing funds over something done by a private company they have no control over.
