Man I hate to see him go. 90% of portal exits border on "who cares at all" and "well that kinda stinks for depth" but this one stings, IMO. He was really coming on strong late and I believe had fully sent Everett to the bench in the ole miss game right before he got hurt.

I know Ellis R is the real deal but it's never fun having to rely on a true freshman CB at this level. Going into next year with Daylen, Ellis, and Harris as our top 3 CBs is downright scary.

Looks like he’s staying now.

I think Ellis might be CB1 in any case, based on early reports, but it’s great to have Humphrey back.

phew, yeah that's great news.

If I had to guess I'd say everett and Humphrey start the year but Ellis will overtake everett quick.

Heard a guy suggest moving Everett to star since he’s more physical and not elite in coverage. Let cb1 and 2 go to Harris, Humphrey, or Robinson. Let Aguero go back to safety where he normally is.

I've read that as well.

Aguero was supposed to be the prototypical star DB.
Sometimes things don't play out the way they are supposed to. But I wouldn't write off Aguero at that spot just yet.

This is a big deal. Humphreys got all the physical tools to be elite.

Not suggesting at all that Aguero can’t be a fantastic star. Just a suggestion of getting the most talent on the field as possible.

Yeah I think safety is potentially more of the problem spot. Sliding Aguero back there could be the best solution.

Another option could be to work Chris Peal or Kyron Jones back there

ETA: Bolden is obviously an option but I’m assuming we’ll also want a non-freshman option to go along with Starks and Dan Jackson.

Did we recruit any of the 9 that jumped into the portal from Bama today? They had three 4 star D.L enter.

I think back to Starks freshman season. He made some awesome defensive plays, and some horrible ones. But he was exciting to watch.

I expect Alabama. Nick Saban began trying to steal Judkins in 2022.

Same here. That leaping INT vs Oregon was the stuff of legend.

Michael Jackson to us from USC, 6'0 WR. Doesn't have much playing time.

Have to think he’s primarily a depth piece but who knows

Love his approach to coverages. Just beat it.

Idk if we’d bother taking just a depth piece in the portal. We’ve got receivers and I can’t imagine him coming just to play every so often. I assume our coaches saw something they think they can work with.

If he wants to get to the NFL he's gonna have to start with the man in the mirror.
