That would make no sense
From a completely uninformed opinion perspective, I'd think it means Ewers is leaning toward returning next year, but his CFP performance may dictate much more in his decision.

I think Ewers has already said he is coming back.

Indeed, but there's been discussion on ESPNU by their folks who say that's not carved in stone.

If he looks like the best player in the playoff he might leave. However, he's got a ways go to to maximize his opportunity at the next level, so the smart play is to return.

Yeah I heard it on espnU today that Georgia had reached out to Murphy.
That makes me worry but y’all know I tend to worry. To me it means Kirby is done with Raiola.
Doesn’t have faith in Gunner as a backup.
Is Carson staying for sure?
I will say this. There is not another qb in college football that I want under center next year more than Carson Beck. He’s battle tested in hostile road environments and we have like 4 of those next year. I think that seccg loss really pissed him off (we all saw the look on his face after the game) and he wants his own natty.

I think Beck needs another year of starting, he won't be ready for the NFL if he declares for the draft.
One more year will go a long way for him and his NFL career IMO

Not portal news but Warren Brinson and Nazir Stackhouse are set to return for the 2024 season

He left a lot on the table this season.
Right or Wrong? He's both top 3 for Heisman and playing for a top 3 team (maybe #1) at the start of next season. If he's going to be heavily underrated in the 23' draft when he could be the #1 pick in 24' why wouldn't he come back?

2023 wasn't good to him.

Kirby confidence in CJ Allen must be high

Pop was holding on to his job by a thread pre- injury. CJ Allen with experience is 100% starting over him next year anyways and Mondon is probably coming back.

May have been told he would have to compete for the job if he comes back.
We all know CJ and R. Wilson have higher athletic ceilings. He may have seen the writing on the wall, got a draft grade he wasn’t happy with and figured he could make some money while he’s got value.
