Agree. The committee's jobs is to pick the 4 "Best" teams, period. IMO, UGA is also one of the best 4 teams.

Based on what standard? The eye test? Saban crying? Feels?
We have a framework in the P5 conferences for the standard.
Undefeated untied P5 conference champs
If you don’t have 4 then the next tier would be 1 loss P5 conference champs
If you still don’t have 4 teams then undefeated independents
If you still don’t have 4 teams then P5 1 loss non conference winners
If you still don’t have 4 teams then undefeated G5 conference champs
If you still don’t have 4 teams then 2 loss P5 conference champions
Standards that but an emphases on rewarding winning your games, controlling the things you can control.
