That's only in your head. College football average game attendance made a huge jump in 2022 and it's looking like 2023 made another jump.
Attendance was down for a few years mainly due to fear in 2020 & 2021 and everyone adjusting to every game being on TV. Attendance is making a comeback and TV ratings are higher than ever.

Look at the PGA now. All you hear about is money, it's a turnoff.
That Oregon St. QB is reportedly leaving, a season after he left Clemson. NIL money/transfer portal. It's damn near pro ball now. If this is what CFB is all about, it's going to turn lots off fans over time.
