They didn't go 5-7

They went 5-6 he got fired and they finished 6-7.

The point of the argument is Mullen was miles better than McElwaine who it was proposed they should have kept.

McElwain lost more games by 14+ in 2 and 1/2 seasons than Mullen lost in 2 games shy of 4 seasons.

McElwain's last year Florida went 4-7 (3-4 when he was fired)

Correct, but if he didn't get fired at 5-6, they would certainly have gone 5-7.

Knox played Anthony Richardson against FSU, and for all his flaws as a qb, he was much better than Emory Jones who Mullen refused to bench. Richardson won that game against FSU, and Mullen would've never put him in. Thus, they would have likely lost and finished 5-7 had Dan not been fired.

Got it, yeah I won't disagree with that.

My argument was that MacElwain should have been fired AND Dan should have been fired. Neither should have been retained.
