The talking heads will try and keep them relevant and would it shock anyone if the committee keeps them in the top 4 over Florida State?

It won’t matter when they’re sitting on the couch this weekend

It doesn't matter. They're not finishing in the top 4.

Well Michigan, UGA, FSU and UW will all be ahead of them for sure. Texas and Oregon are also 11-1, Texas as a win over Bama, Oregon has a close loss to UW. Ohio State's best win is vs 10-2 PSU.

I say they are 7th or 8th. either 1 ahead of Bama or 1 behind them.

Bama vs. Ohio State comes down to Bama's top 2 wins are Ole Miss (10-2) and LSU (9-3) while Ohio States are Penn State (10-2) and Notre Dame (9-3). Ohio State loss vs Michigan at Michigan while Bama loss at home vs Texas.

Since it was a close game I think they will rank them #4 ahead of FSU and Washington.

Meh, they stuck with a great mich team. They shouldn’t drop but to about 5 or 6.
Nothing is really gonna shake out until the conference championship games are over. Next Sunday is when it will be interesting. In the past few years you had one maybe two teams undefeated or with a loss and then several with two. Teams that didn’t play or lost in that conference championship were still in no matter what. That’s not the case this year. Losing the conference title game gets you cancelled. If you don’t play in one you have no chance. Ohio st will be like 5 or 6 tonight. They won’t be 5 or 6 next Sunday.

They will be ranked above Bama and possibly Texas tonight, but that will work itself out after the conference championship games.

...probably. Never underestimate the media's desire to see Michigan and Ohio State play in the NCG.

talking heads are dumb and have zero bearing on reality. They exist to generate clicks

they might. It's entirely irrelevant though since they won't be in the top 4 after next weekend. They truly have zero shot at the playoffs. They are done. Zero chance. Hell they can put em #1 this week if they want, it doesn't hcange the fac thtey aren't making the playoffs.

The playoff committee gets happy and super gay for teams that win a conference championship game. Ohio State won't win a conference championship game, so it doesn't really make a frick where they are ranked this week.

Top 8 should be:

Mich (or UGA
UGA (or Mich)
Wash
Texas
Bama
OSU
Oreg
FSU

If OSU is higher than Texas or Bama, definite bias going on

Mich/UGA is splitting hairs. Ohio St win is better than any of UGA’s wins and their schedules are comparable. Flip em if you want to though

Both Bama and Texas have better wins than Oregon. Ohio St does too (and a better loss). Bama actually has 2 wins better than their best (Ole Miss & LSU > Oreg St)

FSU would get annihilated by any of that top 5. They look just like the 2014 version of themselves and that team got embarrassed.

We don’t need to watch another Cinci/Notre Dame sacrificial lamb. Decent season vs a weak schedule, but the Travis injury has to be taken seriously

Not me. Here's what I think:

1. Georgia
2. Washington
3. Michigan
4. Florida State
5. Texas
6. Alabama
7. Oregon
8. Ohio State

You are right but with championship games coming this weekend it won't matter for them. They are done.

OSU has no chance of being in the playoffs this year. NO conference will have more than one team in. A Texas and/or Alabama win will push them past an idle tOSU. This year you're gonna need to win your conference championship to get there.

I would be shocked if they put OSU above an unbeaten team that will probably win their conference.

Wouldn't be surprising if Ohio St is 5th but it doesn't really matter since any of the three potential 12-1 conference champions would jump them next week.
