It wasn't facing the student section but it was still damn loud. They were obviously going on a silent count so this entire thread is meaningless.

Saban confirmed after the game that Alabama was not on a silent count; we tried it against TAMU and had nine false starts. Regardless of whether the center heard him, the Auburn player violated a rule that has been enforced consistently this season and he should have been penalized, giving Alabama second and goal from the 4 instead of third and goal from the 26 or thereabouts. Thankfully, Alabama won, so it doesn’t matter. But, no matter how you slice it, it was a missed call with an enormous impact.
