Ten yard line , game on the line , facing the student section at JH in the iron bowl, the center wouldn’t have been able to hear a clap from a foot away much less from what looked like 5-7 yards away. The QB clap is a visual for the center at this point he can’t hear it.

They weren’t facing the student section. They were actually facing the visiting section. I know this because I was there. Nice try though.
