Got my tickets but I need some wisdom.
I've haven't been to the bad place in over a decade. If Auburn's been anything like Tuscaloosa, everything is different now.

Well... I once got towed for parking the Auburn band bus parking spot. Don't do that. LOL
In my defense, it wasn't marked and there wasn't any cones. I thought I had scored a spot in front of the stadium like a boss!

The cow pasture on the south side. It has the least patties.

Been going to AU for about 20 years now. The last 4 or 5 trips there we've parked in a guy's yard at the intersection of College St. and Reese Ave. It's not just a college kid in a lawn chair, they've got a couple guys with vests directing cars and handling money, they mostly know what they're doing. They fit probably close to 50 cars in that yard. Can's remember the price but it was in the double digits which I guess these days is nice. It's a 0.8 mile walk from there to the stadium.
Also depending how early you get there, directly across teh street from the yard is an Arobretum on Garden Drive. Tey had parking in a lot for like $50 I think. Also at that arboretum is an actual restroom building that's open to the public.

You can park at the mall and ride the bus. I usually park at a church close to downtown.
