It’s ok to point that out and interesting that you did so because FSU led the ACC in penalties during the time he was there with Bowden. Just an unfortunate thing that Richt brought here from FSU….being undisciplined….and indeed, Georgia also led the SEC in penalties several times during the CMR era.

That said, he also brought Van Halanger with him from FSU which, I believe, was the best hire that he ever made. The strength and conditioning of those early Richt Dawgs paid immediate dividends for us in those transitional years. I mean, Richt was exactly the right coach for UGA during those early years. He brought in Van Gorder, made some great position coach hires...
