I really think HY is trying to handle this with as much preservation of dignity for Pittman as he can...and I respect that.

I like Sam, but I don't feel sorry for him. He is going to get filthy rich for not accomplishing the job he was paid to do. He did improve things and I'm not sure there is a coach out there that can accomplish the job give the current environment in college football.

Arkansas is used to being a competitive top 20 type program, but we no longer have even top 50 money to throw at kids...and we play in the league that sets the bar for that. Its the equivalent of an NFL team trying to be competitive with a salary cap that's about 40% of all the other teams. Ain't gonna happen.

I appreciate what Sam has done here but it doesn't take much coaching to do better than Chad Morris.

He didn't lose the confidence of his team like Chad did until this season.

I like Sam but end of the day it’s a business. Sam would be retarded to retire and take less than his buyout and if the AD wants a new coach then they better find the money. Nobody on this board would take less than they’re owed because they are a nice guy.

If I were Sam and Hunter or anyone approached me to retire and give up money I’d laugh at them and say, your move …
