Against the two best teams he played, FSU and Alabama, LSU scored 24 and 28 points and lost.

That is why Jayden Daniels will not win the Heisman. The two biggest games, the two games that the most Heisman voters actually payed attention to, he didn’t do anything more than play really good.

Again, he is a great player and probably the best QB this year.

But when people from all over the country were paying attention he just looked really good. And lost.

Fair or not, that is what Heisman voters outside of the southeast remember.

Maybe your coach shouldn’t have told Turner to “Code Red” Daniels.

This would make a lot of sense if we hadn’t seen Lamar Jackson win it in the last decade. He did so over Deshaun Watson, a guy with great stats on an undefeated team that clobbered Jackson. He did so losing his last two games to unbanked teams in unspectacular fashion.
