When I worked with the Saudis, I realized that they saw money as the solution to every problem. It is a cultural thing that predates the discovery of oil. Whoever controls Mecca and Medina gets the revenue from Muslims making the Hajj, so it isn't just an oil money thing.

A&M needs a coach that has the burning desire to take A&M to a place it isn't been to since 1939. If he deserves to be paid handsomely because of the job and resume then obviously he should be paid.

Offering Bill Parcels, Saban, Kirby, Gruden, or the ghost of Bear Byrant $87 Trillion isn't going to get you that.
