If you had to guess, would you guess Drink or our OC was calling the plays?
Guess Desiree didn’t think she’d need to add a provision in his contract about the play sheet. Seems clear she should. Cook has made poor decisions, but it seems we’ve abandoned the middle of the field and hitting guys in stride on crossing routes and intermediate deep middle in favor of Aaron Rodgers to Jordy Nelson plays.
Looking at Cooks big pass yardage explosion games:
5 players caught balls today. Mediocre passing.
4 guys caught passes against SC. Mediocre passing.
7 guys caught passes against UK, the big play wasn’t Cook. Mediocre passing.
8 guys caught a pass against LSU. Big day.
8 guys caught a pass against Vandy. Big day.
5 against Memphis. Big day.
8 against State. Big day.
Seems like 8 players touching the ball is the magic number. This shite where we target 5 or fewer leads to poor results generally unless LB3 goes off.
LB3 was hobbled. Clearly. And they couldn’t expand things out.
I don’t know how much of that is Cook not seeing guys open without coaches film, but it’s criminal the lack of targets Norfleet gets.
