I don't think the average SEC fan realizes this. But in Texas, Oklahoma and maybe even Arkansas everybody immediately recognizes UTA as Arlington.
If we have to go through this drill once again, I'll suggest UTx. Austin is known as ATX. So UTx makes sense.
But please for the love of god, let "sips" be the exclusive domain of the Aggies. It just totally cringe for a non Aggie to refer to them as "sips". There are plenty of other derogatory names to choose from.
