Sears will not make it in the NBA. Too short. He would not be able to get to the rim often against those giants. Bama or Europe. Nelson would be at best a late second rounder. He needs to stay and get stronger and better at the three.

I think Mark Sears could be a second round pick. I don't think Grant Nelson has done enough to be in that Top 15 range just yet.

Nelson biggest issue is that he needs to hit the weight room and continue crafting his shot.

Sears needs to continue working on being a better defender, ball handling, use of his right hand, and he needs to continue working on ways too score over bigger defenders.

If this isn’t the definition of Tide Hoops History, we’re not sure what is.

1. First Final Four in @AlabamaMBB history
2. Nate Oats remains steadfast in his commitment to Alabama despite openings at Michigan and now Kentucky
3. Final No. 3 ranking in the AP Poll, No. 4 in the USA Today Coaches Poll
4. The most difficult strength of schedule in the KenPom era

Bit behind in this discussion. Nevertheless, I think Oats record is unparalleled initially when compared to Coach K. Coach K's first three years at Duke were 17-13 (NIT), 10-17, 11-17.

This is a dumb take. A current player on NY Knicks team is doing just fine.

Two intriguing Centers in the portal over the past 24 hours. I would love to have Ballo personally, but then there is Avila from Indiana State who made over 60 threes this year on right at 40 percent clip from deep and he averages about the same assist rate as Sears and Estrada did. He isn't a world class rim protector or rebounder but his 3 point presence alone would force teams to cover him out deep .

We have a coach that’s not just very good, but ELITE, and he clearly wants to stay and raise the profile of the program. The shite you dream about

Brunson is 6’1 barefoot. Mark is 5’10.75 barefoot.

Mark Sears best case is a bench combo guard on an NBA team and not a 6th man type either...the third guard who plugs in when foul trouble happens at 1 or 2. If the price is right maybe he can pickup a[nother] degree and maybe win a natty at Alabama.
