Its not just for 3s, I would say 10ft and beyond. The distance of wall behind the goal can really mess up anybody shooting.

And what did Maze do?

Said he'd be pulling for Bama the rest of the way since Duke got knocked out.

Never played basketball in a football stadium, but I wonder if that's a disadvantage for 3 shooting teams

May help that help that we shot well at home in a cavernous hangar

ESPN just reseeded the final 4 and put us fourth…. Adding fuel to the fire at this point.

Jeff Goodman, who's typically big on Alabama, called the game a wrap between us and UCONN. Saying we have no chance.

Listen, I fully expect us to get pounded by this UCONN team. They're incredible. BUT this UCONN team got beat by Creighton by 19 in late February. Lost to Seton Hall by 15 early in Big East play. Prominent media members saying there's no chance is such a stupid take to have in the NCAAT, especially when said team is playing as explosive of an offense as we have. I don't think UCONN has a game in this NCAAT that they win by less than double-digits, but it's our lethality from 3 that can make it close.

Having said that, keep those lines and takes coming

we have to run Clingan to death. On made baskets make him sprint, not jog, back. Once on offense, go 5 out, pick and roll drives and get Nelson/Pringle downhill with momentum to try and force fouls.

Lastly, we can't have an off day from 3. During the 30-0 run, Illinois missed 10 wide open 3s. I think playing in the stadium is 100% going to mess with out shot. Almost think Nate needs to have them practice outdoors to replicate the openness behind the basket. We need to have disciplined eyes while shooting.

We can absolutely win this game, our pace and skill set is the one thing that gives them issues. Kansas, Creighton, and Seton Hall all shot better than 50% from 3. We can absolutely do this.

It's unlikely, but we can.

Basketball lends itself to fluke outcomes more than any other sport. UConn is a better team and would win 75-80 times out of 100. Maybe more. But weird things happen. We shoot like we did in the second half against Clemson, they have an off night, maybe get some guys in foul trouble and it’s game on.

Nah I’m referring to the”reseeding” They had us at 5 in the Elite 8 and NC State at 8. What changed? That ranking is stupid AF.

I like the fact that we've played so many top 10-15 teams this season. That will bring the intimidation factor down a bit. All it will really take to win is us being hot shooting the ball, and them being off. Our defense has been so sound this tournament, I think that we will frustrate them a bit.

Why should anyone care how ESPN ranks the teams? It doesn’t give or take away points in the game and doesn’t impact who Bama plays next. It’s nothing more than content to fill air time and isn’t worth a single thought.

The only number that matters now is the score at the end of the UConn game.

So does Wrightsell go back into the starting lineup?

Oats likes to get some energy coming off the bench. Who are gonna be our starters?

Did Stevenson earn a start over Pringle and we try to play 5 out?

“LANK”! We’ve been picked to lose by the “experts” throughout the tournament- even against Charleston and Grand Canyon- all four of the CBS guys picked GC. But we “let all naysayers know.”

Not sure what Nate will do but I don’t want to go to a 4 guard lineup to start.

I prefer a true 5 with grant playing a stretch 4 and three guards.

Maybe plug in wrightsell for Estrada or bring wrightsell off the bench. Hard to mess with the chemistry that the team has until forced to do so

If Wrightsell can play, he can spell Sears, Estrada, and Rylan. He probably can’t play a bunch of minutes, but rotating 4 guards is much better than rotating just the 3 we did this past weekend.

Other than UNC, NC State has beaten more "name" teams.
A 2,4, and 6 seed. Also won the ACC tournament. They're playing well.
Just throwing that out there objectively. Personally,,I'm fine with 4th.
But, if you want to judge on play just in the NCAA tournament, I'd rank it as
Uconn
NC State
Alabama
Purdue

If Alabama figures out how to win two more games, I imagine they will be reseeded to the worst champion.
