I don't know where this good help defense and interior toughness came from but it completely drove this UNEXPECTED run.
We played well enough on defense FINALLY to let this offense carry us to the first Final Four in school history.
I'm giddy...I'm drinking a whiskey on the rocks so I can maybe go to sleep for Easter Sunday.

Something clicked for them after the SECT exit for sure. I'd love to know how he rallied the troops because the effort and togetherness on defense is night and day different from the regular season. The guards are fighting to stay attached to guys, the other 4 guys are connected to who is on the ball and generally giving the correct help. It's wild.
Granted, they're not an elite defense but it is much better than 100s ranking efficiency.
