As much as it pains me to say... Auburn getting the lowest 4 seed is really hard to understand with a net ranking of 5. UK getting a 3 seed seed with a net ranking of 19 sounds about par for the course though.
Poor Auburn doesn’t get to play 2 home games to start the tournament like they did last year as a freaking NINE seed. Life is so unfair.

According to this, we are lowest 4 seed.

I couldn't argue with that given our resume. Awesome that this down year is good enough for a 4 seed from the committee.

Hope we play well, get that first win then give ourselves a puncher's chance against the 5-12 winner.

Return to form Bama!!

Hit open shots and play some defense.

You say the same things but the reality is people know how to play us and if we don't do something different our results won't be different than we've had the last month.

Best result we could have hoped for. Great first round game, excellent 2nd round matchup, and easily the weakest 1-seed that also happens to be a better matchup for us. Couldn't have planned that out better.

Not going to lie, Auburn was jipped which I'm here for. Hard for them to complain after last year's stroke of fortune though. UK getting a 3-seed is a bit rich.

If Bama addresses the issues we’ve since the trip to Lexington there isn’t anyone outside the top 15 I’m worried about.

If Bama doesn’t address those issues it’s not worth worrying about matchups because it’s gonna be a quick tournament for us.

How are we supposed to address them?

I could see us now realistically winning the first 2 games. Not sure after that. Good draw for us.

I don’t know if we can. We would have to out score everyone but that means being hot for what 5 games? Not likely.

Bruce has had some pretty timely called plays this year in key games with the back screens and circle screens. Congrats on the SECT Championship Bigben. P.S. apologies for goading your other fans this weekend. You’re obviously one of the good ones

Hey, thanks man.

As for the Bruce vs Oats debate? Can’t go wrong with either choice. Bruce catches a bit of crap for his gameday coaching but the only legitimate criticism I see there is a bad tendency to play out bad stretches rather than burn a TO when needed. Offensively his calls are pretty timely and in a dead ball situation he’s basically freaking Rembrandt.

But this biggest thing for me is did you see what Auburn was before he arrived?! He built a consistent, respectable, championship level program from the ground up. Auburn was arguably the worst program in the SEC when he arrived and now here we are competing for titles more often than not, and he brought us within a hair’s breadth of winning it all.

He’s the greatest coach we’ve ever had and it’s not close.

UNC is a physical team down like UK and Florida. The only way we lose to any teams before that is if we shoot bad, St. Mary's has a good team, they like to play 65-60 type games, if we can up tempo them we will win.

UNC is not a good team, but the Match ups that have killed us is those who are big strong teams in the paint and who can get up and down. UNC fits that, but we can beat them if we shoot our FT's and hit a few threes

I'm no basketball sevant but I really think if we mixed what we did up defensively we could hide shortcomings.

We can't go into games not being able to stop quicker guards, not being able to rotate quick enough so they get open 3s AND not being able to guard the rim.

Once they start attacking the rim we need to kill their ability to drive by going into some kind of zone to block off lanes and let teams beat us by shooting 3s.

St. Mary's is very physical. More along the lines of Clemson, but still a difficult chore for this team.

Me either. I know we could mask a few things but the defense on the national picture would unfold us quickly.

The teams that actually killed us weren't the ones that were strong in the paint. The teams that are actually killing us are the ones that are fast and athletic on the perimeter.

UNC is a strong team, but it has weaknesses.
Bama Guards have defensive weaknesses, but UNC Guards also have defensive weaknesses.
Additionally, UNC doesn't use the bench at all and tends to rely solely on Starters.

UNC weakness is starting point guard Elliot Cadeau. He can't hit a perimeter shot and his free throw percentage is extremely low.
7.6 PTS (FG 42.7%, 3P 18.2%, FT 64.8%)

I'm hoping Bama plays Sagging Defense on him. If so, we can help defend the paint zone.

I think St. Mary's is more of a threat to us than UNC.

What are Alabama's chances of reaching the Sweet 16? I know nothing about the teams they will face.

Did my bracket and have us in our first Final Four. I'm very biased when it comes to games Alabama is in, but with the way the bracket turned out it's only 60-70% delusional. The way it broke was we play Charleston, GCU, Mississippi State, Baylor and then bow out to UCONN. GCU beating St. Mary's and State beating UNC were legit picks I would have made regardless. Baylor over Arizona was definitely influenced by me not liking that matchup and really wanting to pick us up a Final Four

First time I've let my bias infiltrate my non-Bama game picks. Maybe putting this out there is what our program has needed all along #WhoNeedsDefenseAnyways

I would say you’re crazy, but this side of the bracket favors us a lot more than the others. I like UK on their side. Wouldn’t count out Tom Izzo and that 9 seed either
