Any win on the road is a good win. that being said, this is a very bad Vandy team. Might be a long season. Hope not.

Thought the crowd was good yesterday. I’d say 50/50 split between the two teams, maybe slight edge to the Tide.

Avoiding bad losses is big and they happen a lot in CBB. FAU for instance made the final 4 last year and returned everyone and they have two quad 4 losses already this season. I’m just glad we got out of there with a W yesterday.

Vandy played Memphis to the wire and then dominated Dartmouth. Maybe they’re getting better.

The reality is we had several large leads in this game and the score ending to both halves didn’t tell the real story of that game.

Still we have to execute better when it comes to putting teams away. Defense is what it is at this point but can’t have the turnovers that we did in Nashville.

We were all dissatisfied with yesterday but it’d be 100x worse if the game was actually close all game or we actually lost the game for god’s sake.

Take it for what it is and move on to the next one. There’s a decent chance we look up and we’re 12-5 and 4-0 in SEC going into Knoxville.

Offensively this team is still pretty exciting. Really high on our guards. Sears is great. Estrada does a lot for us even when his shot isn’t falling. Wrightsell is a hell of a 3 pt shooter. Griffen is getting better and better.

Need more from Grant, Pringle, Wague and Stevenson.

Walters is going to be a special player here imo. Love that kid.

Sam Walters has been the biggest surprise of the season. I knew he could shoot but I didn’t expect him to be shooting 51% from 3 going into conference play.

We’ve got so many guys shooting great from 3 it’s crazy.

Mark Sears - 47%
Latrell Wrightsell - 45%
Aaron Estrada - 37%
Rylan Griffen - 37%
Sam Walters - 51%
Cosby Jr - 39%

I asked the board for suggestions on seats but got none. So of course I ended up ion bleachers under the overhang. Pretty close to midcourt though. It was definitely loud for Bama at times.

I’ve only been to Vandy twice and sat in the same section both times, wasn't sure what the best sections to sit in are there or I wouldve helped you out.

Wouldve said to ask the vandy fans on the rant but I dont think there are any lol.

Oats said Aaron Estrada “crushed” everybody in blue-collar points in the final tune-up before Tuesday’s home game against the Gamecocks (6 p.m. CT on SEC Network). Estrada earned the Hard Hat Award, given to the player with the most blue-collar points, after Alabama’s 78-75 victory at Vanderbilt.

“But we need some guys that really praise other guys’ effort plays and then want to get everybody’s effort plays going up with the blue-collar plays, screen assists,” Oats said. “Just stuff that makes the team better that’s not necessarily scoring.

“We need everybody to start recognizing it more, want to do more, be a great teammate. Things like that we’re trying to emphasize.”

His message is effort plays are needed not just in practice but for 40 minutes in games.

“There’s no easy games, whether it’s a home game, road game,” Oats said. “We made it look easy last year at times, but that’s not the way it typically is.

“Our guys got to get a little bit more killer instinct, and they’ve got to understand that every possession is going to be a tough possession. As soon as they let their foot off the gas, other teams are going to make a run, and that’s what happened to us Saturday.”

Asu leads the country with 3pm at home with 15.8. Coach Hod is doing a great job rebuilding ASU.
