stealing signals is done all the time on all levels for a long time. if ncaa says no advanced scouting then that is a problem if the school payed someone to report back. my son coached in the big 12 for 10 years, it was standard practice during the game to have someone picking signals. nothing wrong with it. i was on the sideline for games and can tell you TAMU had signals on offense and i would watch and make mental notes. after 2 or3 series i had a good idea what the play was going to be.

This would certainly explain why Harbaugh has shite the bed in bowl games at Michigan.
