I can agree with this. An O-lineman's technique can certainly improve, but footspeed and lateral range are an entirely different animal...it's pretty much "genetic".

We’ve won national titles with glorified guards at LT but we played significantly different offenses when in that personnel situation. 2009 had an undersized center and a LG playing LT. McElwain mostly played 2TE sets where either the HB or TE stayed in to assist on most pass plays.
