Tua had this done in 2019 in October and gimped even after he was cleared. Bowers MIGHT be close to full speed by playoff time but its not fully healed until probably 3 months depending on the severity.

probably easier to come back quicker as a QB with that procedure than a tight end

Among Dawg boards, Tua was cleared after 11 days.
That's the reason why he was gimpy after the surgery.
He only missed 1 game.

Bet he plays when Ol’ Miss comes to town in 2 weeks. May be sparingly, but he plays barring some setback.
