Did you read the OP?

Look for the words “LSU” and read the words before and after it. Should help.

Did he not start yesterday? Did he not start for the superbowl champions?

I like how he was the superbowl champions best receiver but now he’s not good enough for Mac Jones lol.

Who is Mac Jones throwing to, aside from the other team? Is there any team in the league with a worse starting skill group than New England?
If you think it’s bad now, you should see what it was during the Covid-19 season.

It’s not really all that bad. RB is fine, TE is really good and WR is serviceable.

Quarterbacks are supposed to elevate the play of their supporting cast and he doesn’t even come close. He just sucks.

I noticed you didn’t answer the question. Here’s your chance to show off your ability to be objective and intellectually honest.

I don’t know whether he will get a shot elsewhere. I don’t work for an NFL team.

As I said earlier, Mac is not blameless. He has not played well. He also doesn’t have the type of personnel around him that can help to elevate him. He essentially lost his second season of development because he did not have a real offensive coordinator last season. These things contribute to why he has struggled. He certainly has to get better, but as a young QB, he needs help from the team, too.

So what you are saying is he’s complete garbage but if you put three first round receivers around him he could be serviceable.

That’s REALLY generous(I wonder why!?).

Guess I’m not the only one stuck in my opinion….

You already have your opinion formed, so you don’t really care what I’m saying.

- Mac needs to play better. He is not blameless.
- In second season he had poor coaching, which hurt his development.
- He does not have consistent good play at wide receiver to provide him any assistance as he works to get better.

Seems completely reasonable to say he needs to play better but could also use more help around him.

Doesn’t matter, you’re just here to talk about 2019 again. Have at it.

The debate will never be settled. Both teams can make a compelling claim. LSU fans will pick their team, Bama fans will pick their team. The rest of CF fans really don't care.

I’m not a fan of either team. 2019 LSU is objectively better and beat more impressive teams. Hypotheticals are stupid, since 2 teams from different years can’t play each other, but LSU 2019 is significantly more impressive. It’s really not close.

No one really compares the 2020 Bama team to the 19 LSU team besides Bama fans. The rest of the world knows the 2020 Bama team was in a bush league covid years

He’s comparable to Jarrett Stidham.

The bar is really low for both.

You're attempting to speak logically and calmly here.

Might as well try to turn water into wine (but, if we're being fair, I doubt Jesus Himself would be welcome here either).

People said this about Tua until Mike McDaniels showed up.

Mac Jones plays best in a spread, hurry-up, pass-happy, modern offense.
Mac Jones in Miami, or San Francisco would be lighting it up right now.

Bill bellichicks offense is antiquated. He wants to dink and dunk down the field to the worst receivers in the league. Even Tom Brady got tired of that shite and had to go to Tampa to win another super bowl.

NE's offensive line sucks, their OC sucks (bill o brien), they have the worst WRs in the league, and they have shitty RBs.

Mac Jones is without a doubt the MVP on that offense, and New England is wasting him. He's going to get traded, and he's gonna prove all of the doubters wrong but he got absolutely shafted.

How do you explain him getting worse each year? It's called piss poor coaching.

1) He got benched for Bailey Zappe, dealing with all the same issues. His horrific play is his fault, he does not give them the best chance to win.

2) NFL defenses are very smart and know what you do well. Whatever mystery MJ had coming into the league is gone, everyone knows the few things he's okay at doing and they take them away.

2nd year (and beyond) slumps are not uncommon, progress isn't always linear for QBs. Him regressing is not some crazy phenomenon. MJ is hoping and praying this is true for him too although it looks grim because he looks particularly inept. You're talking about a massive turn around.

Lets say NE finishes as a bottom feeder and a top 5 pick (in a pretty qb rich draft). Do you really think they shouldn't go get Drake Maye or someone?
