Very few SEC fan bases in the last 30 years have celebrated an SECCG victory harder than Alabama fans celebrated the 2021 SECCG win. But only after they lost in the national championship, and then all of a sudden it was a huge deal. It was bizarre.

Georgia ain't Bama and never will be. But they are the SEC bell cow now. What happened in the past has nothing to do with 2023. Kirby runs UGA like Saban used to run Bama. If this team keeps improving they can beat the Dawgs but Carson Beck is getting better too. May well shape up to be a classic in what will be, if I'm not mistaken, the last SEC Championship game.

If you don't make the championship game, you effectively lost it.
