The money is not there from the networks to continue adding members.
The SEC is plenty big enough to never get left behind.
Why add members if your annual split of revenue drops?

It may be cheaper for ESPN to pay more for Clemson and FSU because they would be able rework/Cancel their ACC Network deal because the league would not be as valuable. They could actually make money
