If you want to play the false equivalence game, weak as it is as a strategy, at least play a stronger hand than this.
No matter how hard you want to try to change what Americans saw with their own eyes, it's not going to happen. Own it. Those were your people. Be proud of supporting a coup attempt. Don't hide from it.
