The exact opposite is true.

If Vandy and Middle Tennessee St had a late bloomer/under the radar stud.. the elites would snatch them up. The elites have another thing in common, a huge following that will feed their favorite program to keep them on top.

I remember the same prediction of the 4 team playoff, the BCS, the Bowl Alliance-- and yet, parity has steadily declined.

I'm sure the 12 team playoff won't be 8 usual suspects and 4 sacrificial lambs, nooo. That'll never happen.

Not unless they guarantee the player he will start immediately.

I think the point of the OP is no one is going to be able to stack talent anymore. People will walk if they don't play right away. We are seeing it already. You've got 5 stars transferring out of schools like OSU and Bama because they are 2nd or 3rd on depth chart.
