He may have had a Lou Holtz type of run, Lou was considered an offensive genius, but not a good recruiter.

Even with all that talent Petrino had he didn’t win anything that mattered, no different than his predecessor. How can that be?

going 11-2 while losing to the top 2 teams in the country and winning the cotton bowl is a lot better than going 5-7,4-8, or 2-10 and losing to byu, Liberty, San jose state, north Texas, Rutgers, Texas tech, Toledo and western kentucky.

What did that mean in the 70s? They can throw before 3rd and Long?
