We’re a different team

awful Miami loss

Miami is undefeated and ranked 17th nationally. Not sure I'd say that's an awful loss at this point in the season.

Before the season it was evidence of future success..I’m just saying it’s also evidence of ongoing failure..

Current predictions put Miami in the (I shite you not) PopTart Bowl vs Kansas.
Looks pretty bad from here.

So these things count as “doing something” for LSU but not UGA?

Well you notice that our SECCG wins are also sprinkled with multiped titles during that time frame. But, let's have a look:

2003 Loss
2005 Win
2011 Loss
2012 Loss
2017 Win
2018 Loss
2019 Loss
2021 Loss
2022 Win

So in the last 20 years.... UGA is 3-6 in the SECCG.

Hahaha, nah, just recognizing where we were 2022 and where we are today. You cannot replace a secondary the second time in as many seasons without hiccups.

Got it so our both two loses are to teams ranked hire than that. Not such an awful losses for us then? Typical loser talk from an Aggie. Y’all enjoy lsu losing more than your team wins because you know deep down A&M will never seriously contend for a championship.

We went to the SEC championship last year even after losing to your shite team. Has Jimbo ever been to Atlanta?

LSU has the most national championships in the 21st century than every college football team not named Alabama. The team we gave our coach too. We still win

I’m well aware of our situation. If Miami and Nebraska can slip into mediocrity, then any school can. Time will tell.

I stopped melting about LSU football after 2019. 2020 was the ridiculous COVID season, 2021 was the end of O. 2022 was Kelly's first season, and LSU still won the SECW. 2023 the best offense LSU has had in a while other than the obvious 2019 offense is paired with the worst defense LSU has had in 30 years. We'll see if Kelly can get the ship back on course. If not, oh well. CFB has changed with NIL and will ever be the experience it once was anyway. I will continue watching, but melting is a thing of the past for me.

UGA was still a consistent 10 win team. I cant think of the last time they had a losing record, not sure if that has happened in my life.

For LSU that happened since covid

Gotta love how a post about LoSerU turns into a thread about A&M.

I don't know if it is just me, but every time rocky1 posts something, I feel like I am the smartest person on this board.

I think so. It's a combination of a few things:

- The huge Kelly contract and big buyout.

- Losing some of the top talent in Louisiana to other Unviversities.

Agreed on both parts for the most part. Especially the length and amount of buyout of CBK’s contract
The second part is mostly due to NIL in my opinion, which I address below.

quote:

-Realization that despite embracing NIL more than any other college in the U.S. it is not going to work out very well for LSU

If you read the LSU Recruiting Board, you’ll see that this is not true at all. Some try to downplay our disadvantages, but most know that we can’t keep up playing the game the way others do while paying huge contracts to coaches, upgrading and building facilities, etc.
It’s just unsustainable going back to the same wells over and over again without a lot more deep pockets of alumni and supporters of the program who are willing to step up to the plate. That’s not to take away from the businesses and individuals who do.
If you’re not going to play the game, you can’t win. It’s just how it is for now.

quote:

- 2 more schools coming in with at least 1 of them having almost unlimited NIL resources at their disposal.

See my last answer.
