The rule was made, you cannot put the visiting team in front of the student section. Schools had been doing that way for decades, but then in 1990 UF started playing football.
The UF fans threw empty whisky bottles and anything else they could their hands on at opposing teams and fans. HELLO FLORIDA RULE.
The one team in American that cannot say a word about bad fan behavior, is Florida. Lewis Grizzard even docmented some of your BS in his columns.
