Unfortunately or maybe not most of the defensive players will be gone after this year. Key offensive players will also be gone and that’s before the inevitable transfers
With the transfer portal its not as big of an issue as it used to be

Oregon State is about to go G5. Their coach is my first call. Alma Mater or not, he likely still wants to play big boy ball.
excellent point sir

Mike Norvell wanted it before we hired Chad. After Chad, Mike Leach wanted it, Willie Fritz, Lane Kiffin was coming until we chose to not match Ole Miss’ offer. Coach Prime was interested. Probably more as well. That’s just a few I heard of.

David Shaw, yes he's a west coast guy and his record dipped over the last few years he was a Stanford but he won at a place that was difficult to win at.
Dan Mullen, could do worse than him.
Mack Brown- total long shot but would be a great hire

I don’t want any of them.

Unless Arkansas kills it in the portal, next year is looking to be another bad year.

Kinne and Jeff Traylor at UTSA are good candidates, and could both recruit east Texas well. Two years on Morris’ staff shouldn’t disqualify Traylor, lol.

Do it.
I would if I was an Arkansas AD. Look at Nebraska right now. Same old thing. Just got a different HC with promising future but he is now becoming another HC going to get fired down the road. I am seeing the trend.

These were nothing but message board rumors. Look at who we have now and ask yourself if you truly believe any of those guys wanted the job. If you think they did, then you must admit that Yurachek is a terrible athletic director and should be fired along with Pittman.

Hunter doesn't run the athletic program the Springdale mafia does. Arkansas isn't hiring anyone that they don't agree with that's why the next coach will be Gus or a Gus light.

you know why Norvell wasn't hired, right? It deals with some moral issues that hit locally, fwiw... Wasn't gonna happen. Leach wanted way too much money for the win percentage, and I love the Pirate. Prime was a pipe dream for a young coach with no real experience. Kiff, we already know.
Hunter can hire a great coach, but it will have to be approved by BOT, PTB, etal. You have been around long enough and worked at the UofA as well. You know how this works... it sucks!

If you're going to ask Wash's coach, may as well contact Dan Lanning at Oregon too. I doubt either would come since it's just too tough to win at Arky, but who knows, the allure of SEC might get one of them. Plus with conference realignment Arkie's schedule might lighten up a little.
Also, Jonathan Smith at Oregon State might be worth a call. Dude has them rolling and they have been terrible for a decade. However, Smith is an OSU alum, so I dunno if he'd be interested.
But really who you need is Gus. Go get him.

It's actually a true story. Look it up. Drink selected the Mizzou job over the Arkansas one.

I’m good with giving Pittman another year with an RPO OC. I’m fine with 7-9 wins and a bowl game win.

good coaches but not at our level yet
Holgerson might be out at Houston and Traylor would fit there, as well as Traylor fitting at SMU or TCU if anything ever happened to those - I don't think Traylor leaves Texas, unless he lands at Oklahoma State
Kinne is way young I think. He's not proved himself yet. Like him though.
