Bama scores 40 and is as about as vanilla as they come - showing nothing.

What you're seeing IS the offense.

Obviously, there are slight variations and maybe a few wrinkles that come and go on an opponent-by-opponent basis, but we're not waiting to unveil some grand hidden component of our offense that's going to make it look noticeably different. I get the appeal (and it kind of feels intuitive) of thinking that a staff is holding something back schematically, but it just doesn't work that way. We'll shut something down if the game is well in hand or if something is entirely not working (or we think it's not going to work), but not because we're waiting to unleash our true power for future foes or whatever.

Exactly this style of offense will not be able to compete against a high powered offense on the opposing side. Even Georgia had to go spread to beat Ohio State last year.

That’s correct that’s our base offense.

We will add a wrinkle or two per game per week. But that’s it.

If we make a few big plays next week we will be fine.

If AM takes a lead we might be screwed.
