I would assume more of walk through, film study and drills.

As a former high school coach and college player, I would like more clarification on this. I can’t imagine trying to teach/simulate zone offense concepts, transition defense, and press offense (and probably 20 other things) without live 5v5 1s vs 2s. If he means they don’t go out and scrimmage like a live game and work solely situations, that’s much more reasonable. But there is only so much drills can show you as opposed to live action.

*Disclaimer- I have never won an NCAA tournament game or been to an Elite 8/Sweet 16, so he’s doing something right.

It's mainly walk throughs when "5 vs 5". They don't go live, scrimmage, or play pick up games during practice. Or they haven't to the auburn game since he's been here. He did make it scholarship players against scholarships players in the "5v5" instead of GAs and assistant coaches, so he is trying to shake things up a bit in that regard.

The majority of practice can be described as a study session with the scouting reports taped to the floor/ wall while running fundamentals drills. Then you have film study and weight lifting (voluntary on game day)

It's more a NBA style practice prep vs a traditional highschool/college practice.

This is most likely why it takes most of the season to see the rotation work it's way out in its own and the team gel completely. Why his teams have done so well in the tourney with a week to prepare vs a day. Why they outperform in the tourney vs the regular season. Why his players are ready for the pros when they are given the chance.

He isn't going to change, it's only a problem this year because the number of quality wins haven't been picked up to lock up a tourney spot as of today. This team can afford a poor sec start or finish like the previous three were able to over come.

Muss may need to dial it back to more fundamental practice with this bunch.

Put 30 minutes on the clock roll the ball on the court with instructions to that top 8 play going forward would probably accomplish more.

Film, log stats, grade, that is the rotation.

Does Brazille bring anything at all to the table? He’s invisible out there

He 6'10" and wants to camp out on the wing.

Start at the block and make them "force" you to the wing young man. "Don't throw me into the briar patch".

Im done with this team. Soft as charmin.

And all the barking on twitter needs to be shut down quick. You sucked balls most of the year. Dont want to hear it log off or play better.

I had an epiphany earlier this week.

You can get good guards in the portal pretty easily.

But good BIGS play, don't really transfer and are worth their weight in gold. We should be recruiting at least one big every year and they should stay in the system

We’ve got a freshman big. For some reason Muss has decided he no longer plays freshman in SEC games. Blocker hustles his butt off and obviously isnt much worse than Devo but his minutes have disappeared.

I’ll give you blocker, but fall sucks. He’ll get better, but he has no business being on the floor against good competition.

The good news is the automatic qualifiers are removed from the NIT this year, so if this team tries semihard and plays to half their potential, it is still in reach.

I think Muss has to play Blocker a lot more. I mean Battle isn't providing shite lately. Cant make his threes, cant finish at the rim. Blocker has shown he can finish around contact, and he can make some threes.

So what if he makes a couple of mistakes, Battle does the same.

After we get killed at Florida on Sat he may just start playing whoever, not really going to matter anymore.

Blocker was put in last game had a turnover in part to a bad pass and immediately put to the bench.

If all the players were held to this standard it would look like hockey like changes at the pauses in play...

I think we may have a few too many players who enjoy showering together.

This team has zero confidence. We stink.

Earlier in the season in non conference I thought we just had some normal rust. We stink.

I have no idea how in the world we beat Duke. That seems like a lifetime ago.
