What is the difference? I assumed it was the same thing

The main difference is the gravy used. However, they are breaded differently. Chicken fried is dredged in egg, flour, then fried. Country is double dredged in flour, without the egg.

Chicken uses a white/pepper gravy. Country uses a brown gravy.
